Our Google Classroom!
Let's be 21st century learners (and educators!) and try out a digital classroom together.
GOOGLE DRIVE AND GOOGLE DOCS
We will be using Google Drive/Docs for most of our at-home work this year. Not only does this make feedback more meaningful, but it might also save a few trees and printer cartridges.
Every student will be required to make a Google Drive folder for their Language and Literature course this year, which you will in turn share with me so that you can submit your assignments digitally.
Please note: you are responsible for keeping a copy of your work saved on your personal computer in case something happens with your Drive files.

- Obviously, you will use your own gmail address to sign up.
- Name your folder using the following format: Last Name, First Name.
- Share your folder with me and me only: [email protected]
You will also need to know how to create and share a Google Doc. Every file you post in your shared Google Drive folder is one that I am able to see, edit and comment on and assess.
- Make sure you title your assignment appropriately: Last Name, First Name- Title of Assignment.
- What is demonstrated in the video is very quick- you will need to make sure that your assignment is in the proper MLA format, etc.
Use the video below to guide you.
Google Docs is an excellent working tool for documents. By using an online format, you and I will be able to collaborate on your piece before you even hand it in. Just shoot me a quick email directing me to your draft assignment and I can look over your work and do some editing. Want to see how it works? Check out the video below.
